Klepzig’s Neighborhood

Didn't you hear , it is packing day !

well at least for us , the Klepzig's . Today I'm packing  3 suitcases: one for Mike, one for me - that is for Paris , where we fly today for Valentine's Day !!!. And also a big one for me again , this time for my trip to Kz, where I fly on the 16 February,  right after the Paris trip. I hope I wont get dizzy from all the flying . I have been missing them both , Paris and KZ . Paris, I'll see you first , get ready , here I come ... again and we will have tons of fun !  

yesterday we went rock climbing !! It was awesome!!! I did it for the first time , so Katie had to show me how to get ready for climbing and then belay too. Mike did it before , so Ravi showed him again to belay. When i first tried to climb , I didn't go that far , after couple of meters i stopped because I  panicked. I didn't see anything close to me to grab and it was sooo scary , I was thinking What do I do next i cant go farther, I m afraid. Leaning back and letting go of the rope was also hard for me , it s hard to trust someone!! But when I tried for the second time , I made a little progress and was proud of myself , considering the fact that i m scared of heights , i was nice to challenge yourself and then try to lean back and not hold the rope and know that Mike got it. It was a great feeling , i don't remember if we did something like this together before but it felt good to know that he can trust me to actually belay him, Sooo cool!   even though it was an indoor rock climbing and I didnt climb high at all ,compared to the other guys, I still felt like I achieved something and conquered my fear. It felt great!!!

this is not a joke and i didn't know this before, so in case some of you never heard about it, here it comes.

I got up in the morning and saw a missed call on my cell phone, its good that i didn't hear it ring and therefore didn't pick it up. I was curious and decided to find out who it was ( since it was a number from Frankfurt) , so i googled it and found out that its a spam number. They call u ( or give u a missed call) and then when u call them back , they charge you a fortune while  saying something like: "sie haben 3000 gewonnen!!"  or asking you to get a pen because they have some important message for you. I knew that there is something like that when they call your home phone , but your cell phone!? So be careful !  These are some numbers but apparently there is 09001000425 and many others

I went running up the Philosophenweg on Saturday. Somewhere on top of one of the hills that i had to conquer  i realized that it is actually ...January  and its like +8 C ! Nothing special for you I guess? But for a person from freezing in winter Kasachstan this is like a miracle ! Salvation! Its like living the Kasachstany dream!  My parents are probably going to work right now, wearing two fur-coats and three pairs of fur-gloves , and its about  - 30 C if they are lucky! Oh, i remember those times very well! I even miss it sometimes, very, very seldom though. Blessed be the German winter !!!    I m enjoying it so much and u should be doing the same thing!

    See, i don't really get it , Germany, I thought, is supposed to be the " most working " country , instead they actually encourage laziness and taking time off from work: pretty much every day coming home i find a note on my door saying: please be at home tomorrow ( Friday !!!!) from... here it comes, are you ready?-  8 am until ...16:00, we want to check your heater. I mean , are you even serious???? or is this some kind of German humor? Oh yeah, sure let me just call my boss and tell him that I 'll be come in a little late on Friday, lets say , i ll show up around 1700, its not like people usually work on Fridays or anything , or take exams at the end of the Semester, no you are not really missing out anywhere on Friday between 8 am and 16 00. ...been living here for three years and still don't get it, but the funniest thing is , u do end up calling your boss, your doctor, your professor , whatever and stay at home and wait for them to show up , this is Germany after all , and the rules rule here.  

 I'm Russian, (well, about one third of me is  Azerbaijani, you know that song :    Tell me where you got your body from-- I got it from my mama, so I got it from my mama), sounds scary already, wait , it gets even worse , i actually come from Kz ( yep that's right, this is where Borat comes from , we even went to the same school together, cool guy, smart too! ) , wait , it gets even worse , i now live in Germany , and am married to an American. God, my poor future children , i m telling you. Anyway, being so messed up as I am I still thought ... what the heck , I ll start blogging around all these weirdos as well and it doesn't have to be good either, he he
